We are back! (Mix To Go + Spin Radio FM update)

After a week or so off, we are back to our usual blog post with a few changes…

(1) Mix To Go Magazine will truly go offline this month with mix CD compilations launching; the first is due this Friday, July 17 with “A Journey Into Michael Jackson” (part of the Rhythm & Soul Lounge series)

(2) This blog will continue to feature new articles every week. Here is the most current schedule so you know when to find what:

TUESDAYS – “New Music Tuesdays” (new songs, albums, music trends)
“Spin Radio FM’s Dance After Dark” mix show by DJ Freedom
(studio edition)
WEDNESDAYS – “Deja Vu Super Lounge | Event Calendar Update”
“Spin Radio FM’s Soul Odyssey” mix show by DJ Freedom
(studio edition; club edition begins July 22 w/Lori Nebo)
THURSDAYS – “Event Recaps” (from Freedom & Martina’s weekly adventures)
“Spin Radio FM’s Rhythm & Soul Lounge” mix show by DJ Freedom
(studio edition; club edition begins July 23)
FRIDAYS – “Dance After Dark: Deja Vu Club Edition” mix show by DJ Freedom
(live from Deja Vu Super Lounge, NYC)
SATURDAYS – “Spin Radio FM’s Saturday Night Dance Party” mix show by
rotating DJs Freedom, Jimmy Nitro, Nino Torre and others
(live from Deja Vu Super Lounge NYC)

(3) Freedom and Martina (despite having acquired the keys to Staten Island via Deja Vu Super Lounge) will continue to travel to various events in and around New York City weekly, reporting the results here and on our My Space and Face Book pages with photos and a little conversation.

(4) Rhythm & Soul shows will take place on a smaller scale (“Lounge” edition) in Staten Island weekly on Wednesday and Thursdays at Deja Vu Super Lounge; in Atlanta monthly at Royale Vizionz. On a larger scale as a festival this September in Atlanta (2 days) and in December in Houston and Dallas (2 days). We will produce the festival in NYC in April 2010.

(5) Our travel business is no longer. After several years of working with various host travel agencies, we’ll just focus on our own events primarily, and events that reflect our vision for the music, DJs and artists we work with and represent daily.

This has ALWAYS been about the music. The travel business was a very small part of that, and will remain that way.

We are excited about our relationship with Deja Vu Super Lounge. It is a portal for a variety of different things we do within the business of music. You’ll continue to see updates here and, if you’d like to participate, we are easy to contact: info@spinradiofm.net or a message (212) 252-2528.

Warmest Regards,
Freedom & Martina, Editors
